Scrambled system font

Scrambled system font

After installing Snow Leopard, the font used to display my system messaging/alerts is scrambled:

Can anyone please tell me what I need to do to fix this? Thanks!

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.2)

Launch Font Book, select all fonts, validate them, and then resolve duplicates. Restart and all should be well.
