google maps bookmarks

Are Google Maps bookmarks sync'd?

If you do a clean install, rather than 'restore from last back up', will saved bookmarks be lost or retrieved?

Macbook Core2Duo 2.0Ghz, 10.6, iMac G5 1.8Mhz, 2GB RAM, Mac OS X (10.6), iMac G3 400 10.4.11; iMac G4 800Mhz, 768MB RAM 10.4.11

If you restore without installing your backup, your iPhone will be factory fresh, i.e. no Maps bookmarks.

The Maps application bookmarks are not synced with an application on your computer. If these were synced, there would be an option for this under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.

Maps application bookmarks are included with your iPhone's backup, which is updated as the first step during the iTunes sync process.

If you restore your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, your existing Maps application bookmarks will be lost.

Hello Allan, nice to 'hear' from you again.

Your answer is what I feared. I'll try and find a 3rd party G-Maps bookmarks export app.
