Airport stopped working
I have an Airport Extreme, works fine with all of my computers except one. The one in question is a PPC G-5 OS X 10.4.11. I've used SysPrefs for setting up, but the Airport icon remains grayed out.
I opened Network Utility and saw that the IP address isn't even close. It's set to 6.3.6.0. I am not sure how to get the address changed without resetting a lot of things (that I might eventually break).
If I try to run Airport Utility, the PPC will not see it, no matter what I try.
I have gone into Disk Utility and reset the perms. I have deleted the old config files from SysPrefs. I have done that and rebooted, but nothing will unlock my IP for 6.3.6.0. The rest of my system is on 172.x.x.x.
Question, how do I get the mis-config'd file out of my computer and renew the IP?
Hope that's clear
Thanks,
Pat
