logic 9 mbox(original 1) core audio driver compatiblity

hello
im in need for help here.
just got logic 9 installed, a day before that i installed the audiocore standalone (8.0.3) not knowing it wouldnt support the original m-box. now, without even pluggin in my mbox, i cant get my logic or garage band to work, its says i have a MIDI time out error, which i cant get over. i tried to uninstall the audiocore driver with no luck (how can i do that? )
plus' what is my option for getting logic 9 to work on a snow leopard OS, with original m-box (and garage band working would be nice too...)

please help,
thanx

Since Digidesign decided to stop supporting the original Mbox, there's nothing you can do apart getting a new audio interface. If you don't plan to use ProTools, I strongly suggest you to buy something else than an Digi interface. Apogee Duet and One are excellent products, well integrated with Logic.

To remove manually Digi's Core Audio Driver, you may want to go there: System/Library/Extensions and trash anything Digi related. Also, go there: Library/Audio/Plugins/HAL and again, trash anything Digi related

Finally, go to Library/PreferencesPanes and trash once again anything related to Digi

I may forgetting something but I think you should be ok with these steps

i guess im really done for it with mbox 1 - i got my mac with 10.6, so you think there is no way that i could get this to work?

second and more important - i cant seem to get the audiocore driver completly off, since i cant find any library-extension folder, i got the HAL one off, and everything off the prefrences' but still same problem, Garage band stuck\ logic the same

how can i revert to before my grave mistake??

The folders I told you to check are on the System folder, at the first level of the Macintosh HD. If it's too complicated for you to find the folders I told you, you can simply format your hard drive and re-install everything from scratch. If it's a brand new computer, you probably don't have that much stuff already installed. Make sure you have a backup of all the important things you want to keep before doing that.

Also, you could try to use 8.0.1 even if ti's not supported. If I remember well, there was a problem with 10.6 and the Digi Firewire interfaces but the USB interfaces (like the Mbox) were working ok.
