Yamaha DX7 Sound

I have Logic Express 9 an would like to get a digital piano sound like the dx7. I know there are free software inst. out there. Anyone know where I could get a decent dx7 sound free w/ instructions on how to get it into Logic Express?

Mac Book, Mac OS X (10.6.2)

If you can find a free FM synth plug in, then any standard format will work with Logic. AU would be preferable. The Logic doumentation tells you how to install plugins.

However, I googled just a little a little and couldn't find one. Let me know if you get lucky with google 🙂

I found a dx7 soundfont at http://www.hammersound.net/ Under Sounds /Sound Font Lib/ Pianos

It downloads as an .rar file and I can not do anything with it. I have spent hrs reading searching and downloading. Downloaded winrar and macrar. Cant seem to install.

I have disabilities, but I have really tried to figure this out.

Could anyone offer any help?

A .rar file is a compressed, archived file.

Inside this one is an .SF2 file. I assume you need "Sound Font" to use it.
Would you know what to do with an SF2 file?
I could email it to you in a .zip instead.

Thanks for your hep. I could try. I read a little about that but could not get a program installed to decompress the rar. If you could email it that would be great. I would still tike to figure out how to get a program installed on my mac to uncompress rar files because there were other files there that intrested me. Thanks again for your help.
