Highlighting in Preview
Preview 5.0.1
Mac OS 10.6.2
I cannot figure out how to highlight in Preview.
The help page gives this:
+To mark up text:+
+Click Annotate in the toolbar, if there are no buttons at the bottom of the window.+
+Click the type of markup at the bottom of the window.+
+Highlight: Changes the background color of the selected text.+
+Strikethrough: Puts a line through the middle of the selected text.+
+Underline: Puts a line under the selected text.+
+To choose the color of the markup, use the Color pop-up menu at the bottom of the window.+
+Select the text you want to mark up.+
When I click on Annotate, and then click the highlight button at bottom of the window, there's no way to select text. All I get is the standard cursor arrow. If I select text using the select tool and then click on the highlight button, the selected window goes away and nothing happens.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Gil
