Q: Only two Jam Packs appear in library

Hi,

I've tried several times to install the Jam Pack instruments on my MacBook Pro - from the Logic Studio pack. It seems that the files for these instruments have been successfully saved to the computer, but for some reason only two folders appear in GarageBand and in Logic Pro - Garageband also displays the folders for the other Jam Packs, but shows them as being empty. As both GarageBand and Logic Pro are having this problem, I presume it must be a Jam Pack issue..

Any ideas?

MacBook Pro (late 2008), Mac OS X (10.6.2)

    Hey,

I've had the problems that Jam Packs were missing from Logic. Logic 7 used to list "Jam Pack 1" etc as separate folders in the Logic library. I did a complete fresh install of the newest Logic Pro 9. The folders are still missing, but the instruments seem to now be within the other normal logic folders. Am I right in thinking that Logic 9 no longer displays separate folders for the Jam Packs, but mixes them with the other folders displayed in the Logic library?

    Thanks

I am having the same problem. I am trying to find a list of loops and instruments for each jam pack. Just a little bit of a count of things tells me that I am missing them. I attempted to reinstall everything and everything is the same. I hope someone can tell me where they are.

Same problem here ! I can see all my Jam Packs instruments on my MacBook Pro (where I upgraded Logic Pro 8 to Logic Pro 9) but on my brand-new iMac, all that I can see is "World Music" and "Voices" Jam Packs. I really wish someone could help...

I just did a clean install of Logic Studio with all content and I only see the two Jam Packs as well. Are the other Jam packs only loops or something?

Same problem here. I see Jam Pack Voices and Jam Pack World Music. In the folder Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Apple Loops/Apple/... I see all six jam packs, they just don't show up in Logic. I tried repairing permissions. I will try reinstalling next.

    Hey Guys,

I had a similar issue where only two jam packs were being displayed in the library window. Upon re-installing the content none of them were being displayed! I called apple support, and apparently they're all there - but now they're just lumped together in a folder called 'GarageBand Shared Content' which appears above the 'Garageband' folder in the instruments library window.

    Hope this helps!
