CD does not show on itunes

Question

CD does not show on itunes

Hi, I am unable to create a music CD since the icon of the CD does not show on itunes.

My preferences:
on itunes: when you inser a CD: show CD
on system preferences CD/DVD:

imac G5, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

i apologize for the incomplete message, here it is:

on itunes: when you insert a CD: show CD
on system preferences CD/DVD:
when you insert a blank CD: ask what to do (it does not let me choose open itunes
when you insert a music CD: open itunes

I am running itunes 9.0.2 for mac on an imacG5 (not intel duo core) and running 10.5.8

Blank CDs will not show up in iTunes.

To burn a CD using iTunes
Create a new playlist and add songs to it.
Select this new playlist and click Burn at the lower right of iTunes.
