Apps will not sync to my Ipod touch

Which version of software/firmware do you have on you iPod Touch? If it's not 2.0 or higher, then the Applications tab will not appear.

That is exactly what it means.

You need to upgrade your software if you want apps.

As roaminggnome points out, you will need to upgrade the Touch in order to have applications on it. The upgrade can be purchased in the iTunes Store (for about ten US dollars or your local equivalent) and it will be to operating system (OS) 3. Updates to version 3 are free.

Try connecting your iPod to your computer first then opening iTunes on your computer.

I too cannot get the apps to sync on my sons itouch... I have installed the most recent update 3.1.3 my iphone 3Gs 16G syncs perfectly. Does anyone out there have any clue as to why. itunes will not even allow me to select apps to add to his itouch. I try to click on the sync box and itunes does not respond. also recently updated itunes as recent as early this week.

Two questions, have you ever been able to Sync Apps to his Touch and have you *enabled restrictions* on his Touch?

On the Touch, go into the Settings/General/Restrictions menu and look for *Installing Apps* on that list. If you have set restrictions on, *Installing Apps* is set to On as a default (on my Touch anyway), so you need to turn off the Apps one, at least until you have installed the ones you are prepared to let him have.

as said before i tried to go into restrictions but i dont know my passcode how can i find out my passcode

if any one can help me plz post i need help

If you forget your restrictions passcode, you must restore your iPod touch software from iTunes.
