mouse click problem

Even after upgrading to Lion this issue didn't go away. Hade to format my hard drive and make a clean installation of Lion. And only after fresh installation i got rid of this bug.

try to disable Bluetooth connection. I have found this solution on internet and for me it seems to be correct.

For me, closing Spotify solved the problem.

It turned out Spotify was eating my mouse clicks !

yep, for me it was spotify too!!!

Spotify here as well.

Though OSX must be responsible some way as occasionally - very rarely - Parallels cause troubles too.

I have the same problem and I'm not using Spotify. The 'enable access for assistive devices' is disabled as recommended int he thread. I tried disabling the bluetooth and it also didn't solve the problem. I'm using Lion. Any ideas? I'm going crazy here! 😠

in the universal access turrning assistive decives off fixed the proble,

update, the fix worked only for a few hours, then the mouse stared losing the first click

I have the same issue with 10.7.5. When I click on an object like a file or folder the mouse fails to release the object and drags it all over the place until I click multiple times to force it to release.

I'm using a Logitech wireless mouse, not a bluetooth mouse.

I have tried to disable the bluetooth mouse and turned off my iphone bluetooth connection seems that its affecting this computer's bluetooth connection?? its back to normal now..

wonder if this helps some of you? worth a try.. if you have an iphone sitting next to you with bluetooth turn on..

Just disable "Enable access for assistive device" in System Preferences > Accessibility and the problem goes away.
