Why can't I hear pre-recorded material before autodrop?

say I'm working on a vocal track any track,if I set aoutodrot to fix a part,set 2 bars pre roll logic mute those 2 bars, WHY? what I'm I doing wrong? aren't we supposed to hear everything before the punch in point?
