location services, GPS tagging photos taken on iPhone

I'm new to the iPhone, got a 3GS last week.
I've taken some pictures whilst out and about, uploaded them into iPhoto expecting to see a pin where the photo was taken. There's no location information available.
When I first fired up the camera, I was asked if I wanted to use the location, and of course I entered 'yes'.
So, where is this information and why doesn't it appear in iPhoto?

Thanks
Ollie

Hi,
I'm looking at this again, and yes it now appears that a 'pin' has been assigned to the photo.
EXCEPT, that it's about 1/2mile away from where the picture was taken.
For example, the photo is in a wooded area, but the location pin is in a built up area. How accurate is the tagging facility on the camera, I thought it was fairly good?
Do you need to wait for the GPS to register a better signal before taking the photo?
I'm quite sure I had closed in on my location with the Google Map app before taking this?

Thanks
Ollie
