Disable Automator?

Hi guys! I have this very much disturbing problem in my Mac OS SL.
I see many times a spinning wheel in menu bar (like a config wheel), and I´m sure it´s related to Automator when Safari is running. And it´s creating me a big problem. It seems like a running script from Automator.
I´ve already deleted every service I´d created in Automator, but the spinning wheel keeps appearing apparently form nowhere, while something happens in my screen and stops me from doing anything, till the config spinning wheel disappears.
In the last option I would even remove Automator from my system, since I use iKey and it suits me pretty better.
Thanks a lot for your time!

where did you remove those services from? delete them from home directory/library/services. also check if you have anything automator opr services related in home directory/library/launchagents and delete that too. then restart.

In the last option I would even remove Automator from my system,

that would be senseless and would not achieve what you are after. automator.app is not involved directly in what's happening to you.

automator and ikeys are completely different kinds of applications.
Thanks a lot for your time!

Thanks for your reply VK

And that was quick!

Yes, first deleted all from directory/library/services.

LaunchAgents - I have these 3 plist files here:
com.apple.FolderActions.enabled
com.apple.FolderActions.folders
com.google.keystone.agent

I looked all around in Finder and saw no more service files.

I understand Automator does much more than iKey, but I just need have commands recorded, and it´s hard for me edit many commands in Automator.

I´m pretty impressed for your kind quick response to my problem.

Thanks a lot.

What should I do now? Seeing the menu config wheel spins is like a torture for some seconds.

I'm not sure what's doing it then. Try rebuilding your launch services database.
run the following terminal command

/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user

then log out/in and see if that helps. if not delete the file home directory/library/preferences/com.apple.launchservices.plist and rerun the above command and log out/in. you might also need to clear all caches. use ONYX or YASU for that.

I´m sad to say the problem persists even after all the instructions above been tryed, friend. Now I really don´t know how to approuch for a solution. The wheel is defnitedly performing a task, a previous one I had created as a service, which is pressing a combination of keys in Safari. But the file I´d created in Automator is nowhere. I keeps running every now and then. Very boring.

all caches cleared and the problem not solved.
It´s a simple "command I" and "command shift B" that appears randomly sometimes when Safari is opened. The wheel appears and freeze keyboard till if finishes.
Clearing caches I meant every cache Clean My Mac could find plus the Onyx app too.
Should be simple, but just can´t have it stopped.

I had this in Snow Leopard as well. You described the spinning wheel icon in the menu bar [with spokes] and it's still spinning for hours later, after I ran an automator script. I definitely had a couple hiccups while trying to run this new script [it hung] - I'll leave that part out of this... but the icon would not go away. The only options when you click the icon were to stop the automator script I created (which I thought was over!)
I tried all kinds of things, reading through these posts, and then I ended up opening the Activity Monitor (in applications/utilities.) This is the best place to go to see what your system is doing. I simply quit the automator processes. The key process was something called launcher (I think it was application or automator launcher?) It's gone now so I can reference it. But the fix (clearing that out) was pretty easy.
