When I do an "Offline Bounce" in Logic 9.1, it won't STOP Bouncing!?!?
When I do an "Offline Bounce" in Logic 9.1 on my MacBook Pro, (because I'm still loading my new Mac Pro Tower!), it does the .WAV bounce but keeps on going, FOREVER! It doesn't STOP!?! I have to "Force Quit" my session to get it to stop! Does anyone else have this problem too???
I'm currently running a MacBookPro 2.4GHz w/4GB RAM with Mac OS X 10.5.8 and Logic 9.1.0
Mac Pro 2.26GHz 8-Core w/20GB RAM,
Mac OS X (10.6.2),
Also running MacBook Pro 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo w/4GB RAM
Yes John you have refresh my memory 🙂 , the fact to untick the Add Effect Tails fix this. that has happen to me quite a while ago and honestly i don't remember in which version it was (9 - 9.0.1 9.0.2 ) Since then i never used this function and allow few extra empty bars at the end of the songs on my bounce to have any tails in the delay used on my track. I never have this problem again. It's just a workaround that works well for me.
Yes, me too. I think some plug-ins don't reset themselves and there's enough low-level digital noise to fool Logic into thinking something's still happening.
Like you, I tried it when Logic 9 arrived, and haven't used it since. I guess it works for some, though, but I think it's a 'feature' that comes under the category of unnecessary hand-holding.
This happened to me once. Turned out I had accidentally left an oscillator running on a track and I had"audio Tail" on in the bounce dialog - I left the room and it went on "forever" until the filesize limit of the bounce file was reached. oops!
I figured out how to fix this-IT is because effect tails sometimes go on forever, so all you have to do is at the end of your song, put all the track volumes down to zero (hit a and then adjust accordingly). It works fine after that.
