Q: New to Mac and Loops

Am I correct in assuming that the Apple Loops Utility is to create your own loops or to make third party loops compatible with GB and Logic?

Yes. You convert a WAV or other type of file to an AIFF with Apple loops utility. What it does is tag the file with metadata that Garageband and Logic use.

So...will GB and Logic allow me to loop a wav within the program as long as the tempo and key already match my project?...not that I'd necessarily want to do this but just for clarification.
