I have seen posts where people have said they have automatic update of time and date turned on.
My iphone does not keep good time and I wonder if automatic update is turned off.

Under Settings/General/Date and Time I have three options:

24 hr time
Time zone
Set date and time

The last is just a manual time set.

Is the automatic updating set somewhere else?

Automatic time and date requires that the carrier provide time sync services. O2 does not; I'm not sure about the other UK carriers.
