Power outage messed up my network

Here's my network: DSL modem, D-link wireless router, G5 desktop running 10.5.8 connected via ethernet, Macbook Pro connected via Airport, internet phone service connects to the router via ethernet.

After a power outage my G5 is off my network. I still have internet, the phone still works and the Macbook gets online, but the G5 can't connect to the internet. Network Diagnostics was unable to solve the problem. Ideas?????

Dual 2.5 G5, Macbook Pro 2.4, Mac OS X (10.5.8), Logic 8, 7GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive, Hammerfall soundcard

Correct - self-assigned IP addresses are set by a particular device that needs an address but hasn't been assigned one. These addresses are like other LAN addresses in that they are not routable over the internet. Your computer would normally get it's address set by the router, but apparently doesn't know about it.

Not sure why the router address isn't there, but you might try manually setting an address in the DHCP range of your router. For example, if your router normally assigns addresses such as 192.168.0.3, manually assign an address such as 192.168.0.100. The router normally doesn't route a self-assigned address, but you can enter the router address when using a manual configuration.
