new computer-iTunes won't let me sync my old ipod

My old computer crashed, replaced it, downloaded the new version of iTunes and tried to sync my ipod. ITunes tells me that my ipod is hooked up to a computer already and can only hook up to one. Problem that the old one doesn't exist anymore. Anyone know how to fix this?

You should have all of your music on the new computer, assuming you have used your backup copy to put the music on the new computer.

When you sync, it will erase the ipod and put the content from the new computer on the ipod ( which should be the same, since it came from your backup copy).
