My iPhone battery went flat and i was away outside. When i reached home, i proceed to charge my iPhone. There's no charging screen pop up which i usually gets when the battery is flat and the screen is totally black similar to the screen when u off your iPhone. I'm not able to charge it now and get it working back. I've left the iPhone's charger plug in the iPhone for almost 4hrs and i still can't get it to power up. Please advise. Currently using iPhone 3GS 16GB on OS 3.1.2.
Happened to me on my 3G. Hope you still got warranty. Go and get a replacement at the apple store.
P.S.: what I was told was that it could be a defective power module. Once my phone fired back up when I brought it to apple. A week later it was permanentally dead. Only use apple approved chargers and stay away from cheap charges from eBay.
Did you try charging from the wall charger as well as the computer? If it was only the computer, you'll want to try plugging into the wall charger as well. When the iPhone battery gets low enough, it doesn't always register when plugged into the computer....
Tested on charger via my desktop and wall charger too. Nothing seems to work =(
Think i need to make a trip down to apple for a replacement. Thanks a lot
