IOFirewireWDHID.kext was installed improperly and cannot be used
I am getting an error as follows:
"IOFirewireWDHID.kext was installed improperly and cannot be used"
The message says to try reinstalling it or to contact the vendor. I was attempting to update iTunes when I got this message. I am running OS X 10.6.2 on an iMac.
Where can I get this file and how do I go about installing it properly?
I have tried to run a "repair permissions" but that didn't seem to make any difference.
I do have an external HDD connected via FireWire that is working fine.
Any suggestions?
