itunes alternatives...

so i have the newest edition of musicmatch jukebox, since for some odd reason i cant install itunes, and ive been wnting to update my ipod....it says that music musicmatch is functional with the ipod, but that i need 2 get an update...so i click the part in musicmatch where it says "external devices" or whatever it is, and i go to the section where it shows available updates for each type of device, yet the ipod isnt shown...anyone know what i need to do to get my ipod to be usable with music match jukebox??
