Can you recall an email message once sent like other email software

The ability of other software you cite is very limited, and to my knowledge only works when the recipient and sender are on the same network or domain. See:

Note the statement: " . . . you cannot recall a message sent to someone's personal Internet service provider (ISP) POP3 e-mail account."

Gmail may have this ability, but again I think both the recipient and sender must be using a Gmail account.

Ernie,
the only ability gmail has along these lines is the ability to cancel a sent email within 5 seconds of sending it if you are using webmail gmail interface to send. then it does not matter what provider the recipient has. this is is simply based on the fact that gmail server waits a few seconds before sending out messages.
