    I am having the same problems; I am shooting with a G1, S90, D700, and D200.

Raw and JPEGs. The green is a very dark, muddy colour, like a really heavy fluoro cast. I will try removing the raw decode plist file.

I have the latest version installed (3.0.1) and have a full retail version. Apple needs to fix this pronto. When the software works (I just processed the images from a week-long shoot, D700, with no problems at all) it is excellent.

What I can't understand is that I changed nothing—just started to work on a new batch of images in a new project, and instant weirdness that simply cannot be reset to default values in any way.

Same problem here using D700 and Leica M9 Raw files....

    The pictures get very dark.....

Waiting for Apple to solve the issue!

same here, but only on some of the pictures of my last import (the pics selected by the model for editing, obviously). i tried to delete those plist-files but without success. this time i solved the problem creating a new library for the 5 pictures to edit.
after that i tried to delete the project and reimporting it. now the project is imported, it shows "80 pictures" in the summary but opening the project not one picture is shown. weird!
the following project has another problem: any changes done on the pictures is not kept. closing and reopening aperture loses all the changes i did on the images (levelling, repairing, white balance - everything). trying a repair now :o(

oh, and the "greenish" pictures came out after a kernel panic with aperture open (had two kernel panics in the last week)

same problem here with Canon 350D raw files reprocessed from Ap2 to Ap3.

entire image goes very dark green.

sometimes they spontaneously re-appear processed properly but seems only a matter of time before they revert to dark green overlay

    makes Ap3 unusable for me

Aperture is Unusable with this bug.... And sincerely it would really help if we could know if Apple is aware of the problem and if they are working on an update....

Please Apple, give us a Sign.......

    Hi RalphaelFr;

Why don't you send them feedback here then you know they are aware of it.

Hi! I Just did the update 3.02 of Aperture, it didn't solve my problem...

Did it solved someone's green pict problem?

I had the 'Teal Green' effect on a dozen or so images after upgrading to Aperture 3...
For me it was easily overcome by selecting the affected photograph > go to 'Photos' > Update Preview... > hold down the option key (which changes 'Update Preview to "Generate Preview) > then click "Generate Preview".....
The affected photo returned to normal. I repeated this on the other pictures and never had the issue again...
Hope this is useful to someone....

Thank you very much for your help.

Unfortunately I just did what you said... and it didn't work

Last week-end I even tried to uninstall A3, Killed all the aperture plist in the library, put Aperture 1 Back, then Update from A1 to A3 again.... And the result is.... No result.... Bug still there...

Thats too bad.... I must have been lucky as i have only had minor issues, such as this green effect and A3 importing a few of my projects not in numerical sequence, which I re arranged and havn't had the issue again.... Hopefully the new update will fix a few problems, here's a link to read about it. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2518

Nope. Green-monster-effect still there after the 3.02 update. Why does this feel like a beta release?
  • windhoveruk Level 2 Level 2 (300 points)
Ok here's the rub..!! Looks like it's my turn now... prior to the 3.0.2 update I had very few issues............ er..... now I have some...
    1. The Teal Green effect is back when I re- process masters with Ap 3.0.2 Holding down the option key & clicking Generate previews wont work now.... however, simply closing down Ap3 and opening it again seem's to have returned the images to normal... lets hope it stays that way!
    2. When i pressed 'f' key to go to full screen... Aperture froze on me and wouldn't let me toggle 'f' again to return to split view... required to quit application to resolve this..
    3. After toggling H to show the adjustment hud... which appeared as usual... but now with no adjustment sliders showing.... thats 'none'... yes all gone.. just a black space where they used to live.. After closing down Aperture again and doing a re-start... they are back... but when adjusting exposure.... nothing happens....
    4. And just for an added bonus.... when using 'command-shift-o to switch to CS4 for editing... Aperture freezes colder than ice and requires force quit to resolve the issue..!!

I thought I had escaped all this as It was working great for me.... so no editing for a while until I resolve these issues....

    Hey ho...!!

    Gerry,

It sounds like some overall instability with your library. You might want to run a repair/rebuild. Also, trash your aperture.plist.

I agree firstlaunch..... will go through that tomorrow now... enough for tonight... Thanks for your reply though.. will post back...
