Still have the same tinting problem. This put me over the edge-- despite the fact that every step of the move to Aperture 3 has been frustrating, I've tried to take it in context and understand that sometimes things just go wrong.

Now I'm getting really mad. There's no excuse for a professional application to still be broken this long after release when the problems are so easily reproducible.

Just a Home User here but I have had a few isolated green images. Each time the problem has gone, if only temporarily, after relaunching Aperture. Using latest A3 with SL 10.6.3.

See if 3.0.2 fixes the issue. It's in the release notes.

Looks like 3.0.3 finally got me most of the way there. The image displays properly now, the preview displays properly, and the thumbnail displays properly.

Last remaining issue is that the face tiles seem to have been captured from the green version, and I can't figure out how to regenerate them... That's probably a topic for a different thread though.

I think you have to regenerate the previews to fix that.

I've had huge issues with Aperture from about 2.6 onwards.
Firstly I'm pretty sure its killing my Sony Raw files, but it could also be finder.
Now what happens is after I import into aperture and the images are processed I get a few images that are blank/black, I go into finder and the preview is also black/blank. In Lightroom I have the full preview so I'm pretty sure its aperture doing it.
Now the thing is if I eave these files for a while and don't convert them to DNG's they become useless, if I do it straight away I save the file.
The other thing that has happened is some files look like they have changed colour profiles half way through the file, I mean, the top half is green, there's a purple line down the center and then the colours are fine.
It also happens to canon RAW files from a 50D, my sony a200 & a550.
As a photographer I can't lose any files even tho most are backed up when I copy the back ups to the computer the same files are black/blank.

    Thanks for any help.

    FIXED

Hi all, finally Aperture was fixed today when I installed the latest upload. Joy, all my old files & new files are no longer dark green. Took a long time to get there but aperture is now useable again. Phew just days before my lightroom 30 day trial ran out.

I will be very hesitant to upgrade again. Possibly only after many months of others beta testing for me.

Anyone else finding that these color shift issues resolved with the new update?

No, unfortunately my issues since the latest camera RAW updates continue. Intermittent changing of RAW files from both Leica X1 and Olympus E-PL1 into unrecognized files with a green color. Now Aperture has started freezing up and showing magenta artifacts, as well.

I'm not really sure what to do about all this, as nothing seems to become resolved. I continue to send in reports to Apple via Aperture.

In the LATEST Episode of Apple & Photogs....we have a photographer working on a network show and we have Apple, who seems to like to make unreliable software (Aperture 3). Used to be a good relationship, now currently soured by the fact that Aperture is crashing all the time, and when not crashing is turning things green.

It's been a crazy week trying to fight all the battles and this photog still doesn't have an answer to why his photos (imported as Nikon Raw) are turning green. Is there a solution to this? We'd love to know!

I had a somewhat similar problem though the effect was more cross process than pure green.

the forum page is here inc my work around which also involved editing out files.

Most reliable fix so far: switch to Lightroom.
Really, Apple? Really? How many customers are you willing to lose?

I had the same issue happen this weekend while merging 2 libraries together. I spent way too much time trying to figure it out and finally what did it was re-generating all previews. Took a while but it worked. I wrote a blog post with the details here: http://bit.ly/eD0yAL

I ended up also generating thumbnails even though it worked by just doing the previews. Hope that helps.
