iPhone push

Am I alone who is having troubles with push notifications today? The problem is that emails sent on mobile me account wont come to iphone until I do a manual check - run mail app on iphone. Is there anyone with the same problem? Is there any solution?

Thanks!

Hi. I've been having this issue ever since updating to 3.1.3.
I will not get push notifications from anything (Beejive, Exchange, etc) until I open up my mail app, then they come flooding in. Sometimes they all come through when I restart the phone as well... and occasionally they just show up 1-2 hours late. It is incredibly annoying, and I have found no solution yet. I have restored my phone numerous times, and they seem to start working again, but stop within a few hours.

Never had any problem when running 3.1.2, I regret upgrading, as I used to rely entirely on push notifications... Now I primarily use my blackberry.

Yahoo push has intermittent problems. Try rebooting the phone, which usually fixes it temporarily. To reboot:

*Hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until an Apple logo appears (ignore the "Slide to power off" message).*

If you still have a problem try deleting the account, rebooting as above, then adding it back.

Keep in mind that it can actually be at Yahoo's end, so if it is intermittent this may be the problem.

Also keep in mind that Push requires a cellular data connection. If you have only WiFi push won't work, as the alert to the phone to retrieve email comes only over the cellular network.

I recently update my iPhone 2g with 3.1.2 and now my mobileMe push and Find my iPhone doesn't work anymore. Sync still works fine, but the MobileMe server (won't) can't find my iPhone. Other push stuff like Exchange still working fine. I did the update the same time Apple had scheduled MobileMe maintenance ( http://www.apple.com/support/mobileme/systemstatushistory.html), maybe there is a relation? I already delete the MobileMe account from the iPhone en put it back on, but still no results. Maybe i should do the update 3.1.2 again on the iPhone?

Systems Status messages indicate that Apple was doing updates and maintenance on MobileMe that would have been contributing to our Push problems. They state they are competed and that all is running correctly. Obviously it is not the case. At least there seems to be an answer as to why, now we just need it fixed.

Interesting Update... at least to me.

Well after 1 hour and 20 minutes on Chat support (very cool feature) with a very friendly and helpful agent, I stumped him. He has sent my issue to up to a MobileMe Senior Advisor who will contact me via email to follow up.

The most interesting thing we learned when trouble shooting is that my iPhone can get MobileMe Mail Push notifications. We set up a MobileMe test account to test this idea and it worked. So the problem is with my MobileMe Mail account getting the Push notifications. Obviously there are lots of us in the same boat.

I will post any updates as they happen.
