Installing Solaris

Hi,

I'm trying to install Solaris on my Mac. I previously had installed Windows XP using BootCamp and now I'm using VirtualBox. I previously installed Solaris using "Solaris 10 10/09 Appliance Image for VirtualBox Download", however, I can not get the system to boot.

I need some help installing Solaris, can it be installed using VirtualBox? which version should I use?

Thanks

2009, Mac OS X (10.5.8), Aluminum Unibody, 2.4 GHz, 250 GB hard disk drive, 4GB RAM

Hi Angela

I also didn't have any luck with the ready-made appliance image. I did get the newest OpenSolaris version working - downloaded the ISO version and, within VirtualBox, created a new blank machine and loaded the ISO as a DVD image, then booted from that. You can install from there.
