preview won't scan: com.apple.ImageCaptureCore error -9931

I'm experiencing the same problem. Did you find a solution?

I am unable to import from my kodak camera.
I am getting the same error when trying to import via preview.
The reason I am not importing via iphotois I can't get the camera to show up?
Help!

I have the same problem with a Canon Rebel T1i. I was able to import photos last week; this week I get the message "The operation couldn't be completed. (com.apple/ImageCaptureCore error 2.)"

This thread shows it's been "answered", but I don't see anything that solved the problem. I tried looking for an image capture plist, but I must be looking in the wrong place.

I did a reboot and the issue went away for me....?

What's a reboot? Complete shut down and or just a restart? A restart didn't work for me, and the importing function of Preview worked fine before I shut down for a few days.

Found the problem. It appears that the "normal" folder I downloaded to disappeared. When I picked a new folder, it seemed to download fine.
