iTunes Backup to external WD Passport

Hey guys im trying to backup all of my music files to a Western Digital Passport exernal hard drive but when I select the iTunes folder that seemingly has all of my music (user>music>iTunes) it only shows 12GB for the "iTunes Music" folder when I have roughly 18GB. Any idea where the rest of the files went?
