artwork removed, now can I get more space for text?

I've successfully removed all the artwork from my iPod, but half of the screen is still wasted with a pointless graphic showing two quavers (eighth-notes). With a screen that big I should in principle be able to display full track name, album name, etc., with all the useful info about conductors, pianists, orchestras, tempo markings, etc.

Any help much appreciated.
