Importing from Aperture 3

I'm trying to make the move to Aperture from light room, all my pictures are in NEF format which Aperture supports but they are organized in folders by year and date : YEAR/DATE/Photo.nef and i have over 2 years worth of pictures. In the import dialog you can only import pictures from a folder containing pictures but not its subfolders "unless i'm mistaken"

MY QUESTION : Is there a way to quickly import a folder and all pictures in its subfolders ?
