So, when I connect my iPod(5g) it will not show up in the 'Devices with removable storage' section in 'My Computer'. It shows for a moment, but as soon as iTunes opens it disappears. So, when I try to upload videos or pictures onto my iPod, there is no folder for them to go to. iTunes says 'Cannot sync iPod, folder cannot be found' or something like that. Any advice?

Thanks, but that makes no difference. Even if I select 'dont open iTunes automaticaly', it does it anyways. If I select 'enable disk use' it will sync, and then nothing will be selected afterwards. It's very very frusterating. >.<

    Hi there,

I had terrible problems with my 5g i-Pod and tried the help pages but not being a computer buff was not happy trying the steps alone - rang Apple support - great people who ring you back and after a lot of techie stuff it works great!!
The problem was my husband's Nokia phone which had blocked the device thingy...

Hmm, maybe I'll look into that. Is it free?

This could be due to a damaged iPod photo cache. If you delete the iPod photo cache as per the following document, does your syncing behavior improve?
