How to get the "Now Playing" screen

I just bought an Apple I Pod Nano 5th Generation. Problems finding the "Now Playing" screen. Is it the dark blue screen that has a big musical note on it, shown when the I Pod is playing songs on my playlists? If not, how do I find the Now Playing screen?

I Mac, Mac OS X (10.5.5)

Hi Ive only been using my ipod since christmas 09 but Ive not run into the screen you are describing I did however find this in wikipedia search:

"Cover Flow displays all of the user's album art as CD covers in a slideshow format. It sorts the albums into artist, genre, etc. Compilation albums are only shown as a single album cover if the compilation tag for each of the album's tracks is turned on. If the song(s) from the album were imported from a 'mix' CD, the album artwork will be displayed *as a default music note pictures" *

I dont know if thats it or not.

I do know when mine is playing and I want to adjust volume but its not on that screen I just have to wait till it comes back to it then adjust volume, I pause if ness till then.

When you have something playing, if you go to the main menu, you should see 'Now Playing' at the bottom, which will take you back to the screen you want. Like slothofms7, I'm not really familiar with the screen you described with the musical note on it, but maybe that's what shows if you don't have the artwork, which is what I see on Now Playing. If nothing is playing, then the main menu doesn't show 'Now Playing'. (I think so, anyway. Before I started playing something to make sure it would show up, I'm pretty sure it wasn't there. Now, though, I don't know how to stop it playing. I know how to pause, but not stop it altogether, and that menu option is still there when it is paused.)
