i am going mad, i update my ipod to 3.1.3 because of supposed battery fixes, not only did it not do anything beneficial, it actually made it worse, among other things.
i now have gone from a battery life of a couple of days (general usage) to hours, and thats not all, the wifi has also stopped working completely, i see others having difficulties connecting, fact of the matter, its the update.
now thanks to apples wisdom, they have stopped signing making it near impossible to downgrade.

i know what your thinking, "oh he just wants to be able to jailbreak", 30 seconds of searching the internet for a downgrade would tell you that, if i had jailbroken my ipod, i wouldn't have a problem. thats correct, i and many others are being stopped from having fully functioning ipods ind iphones because of downgrades that are available only to those who don't play by the rules.

i ask you, how do i downgrade without jail breaking before updating?

just an afterthought, you (apple) really seem to have dropped the ball on this one.

"i ask you, how do i downgrade without jail breaking before updating?"

    You don't.

", you (apple) really seem to have dropped the ball on this one."

You are NOT addressing Apple here, This is a user forum. Apple has a feedback link. If you want Apple to see your rant, you can leave it there:

Have you tried reset, restore to try and correct your issues?

I have the same battery life problems since 3.1.3.

Battery life on wifi is around 1 hour and 30 min. Playing music 3 hours. Using youtube is only 30 min or less.

Does anyone have any suggestion or idea what can I do to fix it?

Plug your touch into iTunes and click the Restore button. Generally you can restore from the backup but if that doesn't work, restore as new.

On a similar note ... I upgraded my ipod, thinking nothing of it. I usually upgrade ... but when I went to plug in my ipod touch 32 GB 3G into my (used-to-be-compatible) car stereo, it didn't work. I'm VERY upset.
