Sonyericsson HBH-DS980 seems to work now

I just tried it again. Maybe it was the latest iPhone OS upgrade that solved it.
No more disconnection issues after eaxh call was made.

Sorry to say after full days of use, it still doesn't work very well.
1. After a call is ended the headset stays somewhat connected to the phone and after 30 seconds it disconnects fully. IF a call is made withing 30 seconds or so it can't be placed in the phone itself or the headset. You just have to wait.
2. It sometimes disconnects during a call without reason.

Arrgh, the only headset that I have seen works properly is the HBH-IS800 which is really uncomfortable 😟

I have never heard of such an issue before. Could be your headset. You should try it on another iPhone and then on some other phone to make sure.
