Why can't I install iTunes?!

I bought an iPhone 2 days ago and that's where the trouble began. First, I had iTunes 9, but I couldn't get it sync to my iPhone. I kept receiving a message that said "iTunes was unable to load dataclass information from sync services. Reconnect or try again later." I uninstalled and downloaded iTunes several times, but couldn't fix the issue. Next, I uninstalled iTunes again, along with everything on my computer that I could find related to the program. Now, I can't reinstall iTunes! I get a message saying something about an error that was encountered. I don't know what else to do. I've tried using the Windows Installer Clean-up tool, but no luck there either. Help!

I found my computer has CA Pest Patrol Realtime on my computer, can this cause problems with installing iTunes on my computer?

That's an interesting possibilitity, b. I've been associating CA security products in recent times with sjc's "sync services" error message, certain kinds of Store display issues (A "broken HTML" effect), and iPhone/Touch software update failures. Can't think of a confirmed case yet of it interfering with an iTunes install, but the sort of "different registry key problem every time" you've been reporting on your iTunes installs has a antivirus/antispyware-interference feel to it. (That's why I was sort of hoping that disabling your McAfee had had some impact.)

So if you're not using the Pest Patrol, I think it might be worth trying the experiment of uninstalling it and trying one more attempt at a 9.0.3.15 install.
