Apple Cinema Display 30 inch switches off, when firewire/usb hub connected

Hello,

My ACD worked well for the last 3 years and it now starts goofin around. As soon as I plug in the
firewire or usb cable at the back of my Mac Pro, the Display switches off.

With the firewire / usb cable disconnected the display shows up again and I can work.

Any ideas ? Could it be the power supply ?

Best,

DaZip.

I have a similar problem. I have the 30" display, and I have a backup harddrive plugged in via USB into the back of the display. I have a Macbook pro, and I usually have it closed up, EVery couple days, the ACD goes black. I have to open the Macbook, unplug the ACD, replug it, close it, and repeat 2 or 3 times to get it back.

I am now going to plug the external drive into the macbook directly, not through the ACD. We'll see if that solves anything,
