Broderbund Printmaster for Mac

I bought and installed Print Shop for Mac and it runs super slow and sometimes freezes. Is there another Mac program I can use or greeting cards? Or is there something I can do to fix my problem with broderbund?
thanks

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.2)

Your title refers to Printmaster, you say you installed Print Shop. Which is it? Printmaster 2 is indeed a Broderbund program but I didn't even know Broderbund had re-joined the Mac world until I went searching just now. One of the things I find a bit interesting about the technical specs of the program is that it requires a recent Java update. This might explain the slowness of the program. PrintShop 2 is one of several Broderbund titles that MacKiev bought the Macintosh rights to. While PS 2 has much of the same artwork as the Windows versions of PrintShop, it is completely unrelated to both Broderbund and the Windows versions.

Changing the 32 bit status, or Rosetta status of an application sometimes affects the speed it runs:

Making sure the hard disk isn't too full also may help*:

If you migrated from a PowerPC Mac before using the Migration Assistant, this may yield a slower system. Backing up at least twice, as described here*:

and migrating using this tip after an erase and install:

can sometimes fix the slowness and freezing. Sometimes simply repairing the permissions or directory can fix matters*:

Sometimes you have to run the hardware test to determine if some built-in hardware is causing slowness:

Yes, drag it to the trash and empty. In your Preferences folder (in your library) you'll find a preference file (com.mackiev.printshop.pref) is what it will probably be named. I don't think there's anything in the Application Support folder (also in your Library) but I could be wrong.
