Q: ipod photo import 15g classic.......if it's there why won't it work?

Hey. I have an ipod old school! 15g classic dock connector from 2004. Plays great ! Love it! It has a setting for photo import. Why doesn't it work? How can I get it to work? I can't find anything on this application. OK, I know it's old....I drive a 1966 Karmann Ghia too. I like old. If apple put the app in the ipod it should work.......logical. Can someone out there help me? Thanks!
