MGTEK dopisp (a comment)
I have to confess that once I bought, installed and even used this codec (I think it's the technical name), with an iPod Nano 2GB I have. I did, mainly, because of the trouble I had (and still have) with the iTunes and the album covers (we all have been there, I believe). And, when I acquired my iTouch, I falled for the temptation, once again. Why, I even bought it again (the very day the MGTEK guys released the 3G compatible version)! And installed and tried to use it, but, as is usually the case with this things, the new dopisp had a glitch somewhere, and it didn't work. Of course, I sent them an email, and a few days later I receibed an answer, to the effect that the problem had been solved, and that I just have to download the actualization in order to put it to work.
But, by then, I've came to terms with the good old iTunes; and I guess I'll let the experiment for my next vacations. And even then, I reckon I'd like, first, to give this TuneUp app a try (by the way, if someone here has used it, I'd like to know your oppinion).
Finally, I want to say that I find it to be kind of funny the situation of the dopisp, in the sense that, as far as I know, it is not an app you can find at the AppStore, and yet, it is not a pirate kind of operation the MGTEK guys are running. Obviously, they surely have some sort of understanding with Apple; but I'm not sure of what kind.
As I said, I'm not sure wheter the thing works properly or not; but I hope so: it's always a good thing to have options. If only something like it could be done about the FlahsPlayer situation!
