Q: Excel 08 Running blisteringly slowly on 2.8GHz i7 iMac

I'm having dramas with excel on my Intel i7 iMac. I've not even started inputting equations yet, scrolling alone is taking forever. It took nearly 10 minutes to resize a page of cells to 0.46cm x 0.46cm. I could really use some help trying to get this thing moving faster.

I've looked in Activity Monitor, with all other applications closed the CPU usage for excel skyrockets from 0.2% to 99.8% the moment I scroll even a few mm on the mouse surface.

Something is clearly up and I hope there is a fix for this.

Apple Software Update for Windows is not the forum to look for or ask for help though!!

There have been problems with Core i7 and Mac OS.

I don't know Excel for Mac (thought you were going to ask about Excel 2007 or 2010 for Windows).
