All songs arent syncing to touch

First of all, how do you have your iPod set up to sync? I'm assuming automatically here. If you do, do you also have the option to sync all checked songs and videos ticked from under your iPod's Summary tab as well? If so, make sure each track in your library has a tick mark next to it.

Are you receiving any error messages at all while trying to sync your iPod?

Well you could always try a manual sync. You can do this by clicking on your I-Pod when it is in the I-Tunes side bar, and click the sync button on the bottom. If this doesn't work, you might not have enough memory room.

This is happening to me after the last round of updates. Playlists I have had for two years are either no longer visible or do not have the music transferred over from iTunes.

Adding this has solved my problem of the content of Smart Playlists not transferring over to my iPod Touch.
