audio port

Question

audio port

My audio output is working fine when I don't use headphones, but when I plug them in they don't work and the audio still plays from the built in speaker. And these are working headphones. What should I do?

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6)

I have the same exact problem. I don't currently know a permanent fix but read my post and it should fix it temporarily.
