Wireless keyboard firmware 1.1 sucks.

Even though I don't have a Magic Mouse, I installed the 1.1 firmware on my three-battery Aluminum Wireless keyboard, and boy do I regret it.

At least 5-6 times a day, I now experience keyboard disconnects and reconnects. This is often preceded by the last key I pressed repeating hundreds of times. I lost an entire email today because I hit backspace once, had it repeat until the message was empty, then the keyboard disconnected and reconnected.

This has happened intermittently since forever, but it's become much worse since the update. It's particularly galling since the key repeat issue was specifically called out as a fix in 1.1.

Has anyone else experienced these problems since 1.1?

I'm on a mid-2007 (Santa Rosa, LED backlight) 15" MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard. All software and drivers are up-to-date. My caps lock key is remapped to control via the modifier keys section of the Keyboard preference pane.

Same here on an early 2008 MBP w/ SL 10.6.3. Disconnects are intermittent, and last key pressed is repeated until successful reconnect. this is especially nasty if the last key was the backspace key. I was thinking about getting the small wired keyboard, but iPhone OS 4 or the iPad support BT - keyboards... Interestingly my iPhone doesn't have any BT issues at all, whereas Leopard and Snow on my MacBook Pro (early 2008) are riddled with BT issues. And the hardware (if it's a HW issue) won't be replaced until the BT-HW is completely dead...
