MELTDOWN: Can't make reservation at Apple Store

Everytime I click on the mac icon in the "Make A Reservation Genius Bar" page, a pop-up appears saying "Before you come in... Update Your Software... Back Up Your Data" and THEN nothing happens. It will not let me make a reservation. It just goes back to the "Make A Reservation" page with the MAC, IPOD, IPHONE icon options. It's as if my computer will now not even let me try to fix it. I'm losing my mind here!! I don't know why it needs an update... I update it weekly.

Has anyone ever experienced something like this? Someone please help!

I see what you are saying.

It is a bit hard to see at the bottom, but if you scroll down a bit, you should see a button called "NEXT".
Click on it and you should go through to make an appointment.

Oh standby. That was the highlight of my shift at the Genius Bar, on a busy Saturday afternoon making a standby wait 3-4 hours for their "turn" because they'd just walk in.

I vote you make the appointment, even calling in and saying you're unable to access a computer is a better option than just walking in.

It's kind of sad that when you enter meltdown phase, the simplest thing as scrolling down the cursor to move forward is lost on you.... I'm an idiot.

No worries. I can assure you that I've witnessed people meltdown over even more mundane things. Someday I'll share with you a story of a young man who nearly had to be committed to an institution over a Facebook game.

Yes... a Facebook game. It's "srs business!!1!"
