recover deleted text message from iphone? - haven't backed up - please help

need to know if there is a way to recover a deleted text message if I've never backed up or synced my phone? received message, accidentally deleted.

if I sync-back up via itunes will i be able to recover message? or is it gone for good since i deleted before backing up?

searched message boards but haven't found a definitive answer yet

It's gone for good. You should sync your phone regularly for this very reason. The first thing done when you sync is a backup. Had you been syncing regularly, there is a good chance you could have recovered this SMS, as SMS is included in your phone's backup.

I had read that the deletes were a sort of "soft delete" (trash bin type) and that they might be able to be recovered through a backup.

Was hoping that if i did a sync now i may be able to find in backup files? if I could find and open in write or word (csv or txt)
