Will not read DL DVD data disk.

Hello

I have just bought MB Pro from the refurb store and I have no problem with DVD R or RW but I have some data that I burned within 10.5 on my old MB and when I insert the DL disk into the MBP it will not read it and just spits it out.

Any ideas?

Refurbs as well as non-refurbs have free phone tech support for the 1st 90 days. Call Apple as you should not have a problem with a new refurb.

thanks and i have just tried the data DL within 10.5 on my MBP and still it will not read the disk but as i say it will read DVDR and RW.

Also whats the deal .. should the MBP read DL disks?

Mine does. I only use Verbatim DL discs.

Yes mba,

Your MBP should read a DL data disc. They are harder to read than SL discs, however, and you need to be sure they are scrupulously clean. If so, and it still can't read it, as CMCSK says, get in touch with Apple support.
