Just recently my iTunes stopped reading blank cds, I put a blank cd in the drive and go to the playlist that I want to burn and click burn and then it says please insert a blank cd and spits it out. I have tried three or four different brands of cds and it is the same thing with every one of them. My apple care program just recently ran out and I can't afford to renew it or bring my computer in to get it looked at. Any suggestions as to what might be wrong or what I can do to fix it. I have also repaired my permissions and reset my PRAM and hasn't changed a thing. Thanks!!
I'm beginning to think it's an error with iTunes as well, I had heard that there have been some problems with it and I never had this problem with the old version of iTunes either....it's really starting...thanks though guys I appreciate the responses

Hi bigL1324,
I had this problem as well. Open the playlist first,
Then insert a blank CD...it worked for me
It's definitely iTunes. My Mac Pro also quit being able to burn CD's from inside iTunes regardless of opening the playlist first or not. It doesn't recognize the blank disk as being blank! I've tried multiple brands of disks, new out of the package. iTunes 9.03. Anyone figure the problem out as yet?
