Portable Home Directory syncing abruptly stops working
1. I log into the computer, and the home directory is synced.
2. I go to the PHD menu bar item and select "Sync Home Now" and it works correctly.
3. I log out, and it syncs fine.
4. I repeat steps 1 and 2 and then do my thing on the computer for 30-45 minutes.
5. I check out the menu bar item again, and it says "Home Never Synced"
6. I check the log at ~/Library/Logs/FileSyncAgent/, and it ends with:
\[10/02/18 08:12:32.448] Starting automatic sync of "HomeSync_Mirror".
\[10/02/18 08:12:33.620] Finished sync of "HomeSync_Mirror".
\[10/02/18 08:27:33.472] +\[SSyncSet_PHD createPHDSyncSetForLocalPath:remoteHomeSpec:mountSuffixPath:name:]: A SyncSet with the name "HomeSync_Mirror" already exists.
\[10/02/18 08:27:33.472] EXCEPTION: SyncSet name in use.
7. No subsequent sync operations succeed; the above error is repeated.
8. I move the folder ~/Library/FileSync away, log out, and log in, and the syncing works again.
Does anybody know why the sync set seems to go bad, or why it tries to create it when it already exists?
(Bonus question: How do I prevent the account from syncing when I'm using it on the Mac Mini? I'm using /Users as my home directory's share point, so the sync is unnecessary there. It also fails there, but I don't think that's a big deal.)
