how to set up a new apple ID and Password after a reinstall of the OS?

I recently received my new iMac 27 and want to give my iMac G5 Leopard to a young relative. I wanted to setup everything for him. I did the reinstallation of the Leopard and everything went fine except for one item. When the Setup Assistant asked for the Apple ID and Password, I inserted his email address and his password. This was not accepted and it said to Continue and set it up later.

Where do I go to set this up now?
Thanks

You don't need to.

This is only required if you want to use apple online services like iTunes, iChat, mobile me etc.

You can leave it blank and not bother with it until the time comes when they want to buy something on the iTunes store or get mobile me.

"I did the reinstallation of the Leopard"

You should have wiped it clean to get rid of all your personal information.
See Erasing disks securely & Restoring your computer’s software

Start up from your install disc, go to Disk Utility and select the disk and click erase - to securely erase data click Security Options and Erase Free Space which will entirely wipe your disk, overwriting it with zeros so that no data is recoverable.

Since you only did a re-install check out Apple's own Accounts, Passwords & Security website.
