Can't get Airport Express to work

I have hooked up my macbook with the mini dvi adapter, and the airport express won't work. When I unplug the adapter airport express works and I can connect to the internet. Has anybody had this problem or know how to fix it? Thanks.

I have a 19" display hooked up through the mini dvi adapter. When the adapter is pluged into my computer, I cann't connect to my network. When it's unpluged, I have internet access.

I have airport on my macbook set to automatic, and I have the password saved in my key chain. These settings have worked for the past two years. I bought the mini dvi adapter today, and when it's pluged in I have no internet.

I think it's pretty clear that the cause of the issue is the adapter. There are no video related settings or adjustments on the Airport Express, so I'm afraid this is not the right forum for your issue.

I would start by contacting support for the manufacturer of the adapter and depending on their answer, asking for a replacement adapter.

Noticed this statement from Apple which might apply to your situation.

+Certain external monitors and LCD displays: Certain displays may emit harmonic interference, especially in the 2.4GHz bandwidth between channels 11 and 14. This interference may be at its worst if you have a portable computer with the lid closed and an external monitor connected to it. Try changing your access point to use 5 Ghz or a lower 2.4 GHz channel.+
